At one point if time in ya'll life you've been the youngest. Maybe you're the baby of the family. Sometimes it can be fun being the baby. It's also a flip side to this as well. There will be bumps and bruises in the journey of childhood. That's what makes being the youngest child interesting.
As the youngest child you're the center of attention. Everybody been through this phase before. When you were a baby people found you irresistible. They asked your guardian "what's his/her name?". Then everyone wanted to hold you. Everyone started making funny faces and weird noises. The final blow is the "baby talking" trying to make you laugh. A lot of folks couldn't get enough of the younging.
Second thing about younger siblings is that they're considered "spoiled". It sounds like a little bit of jealousy from the elder siblings. The baby doesn't only get all of the attention. Younger children also get anything they want too. They also get more freedom than everybody else.
One important benefit of young siblings is they learn fast. That includes learning form your older siblings mistakes. For example, your older sibling getting in trouble and mom/daddy disciplines them. Nine times out of ten the youngest sees that and keeps that moment in mind. Sometimes younger siblings hear the parent fussing and mind their business. For the most part the youngest child learn fast. That's a huge advantage of having siblings. You can learn from their actions through observation. The older siblings could tell life lessons as well. Meaning, baby bro or sis can listen to different stories. Finally, the young can learn from older experiences.
Being the youngest child can be a blessing. It could also be a curse as well. When there's good it's some bad that comes with it. One disadvantage is being compared to the older siblings. We've all heard the phrase "Oh, you're so and so little brother/sister?!!" Usually when people say that you're in trouble. Then people will try to compare you to others. This leads to a major disadvantage as the youngest child.
The biggest downfall is never being taken seriously. Whether it's your actions or opinions they're drowned out. Then getting patronized and ignored is the worst part of it. This is the most annoying and frustrating feeling. It's like no one values anything you do. Most importantly, not being heard hurts at a young age. That could impact how they speak up in the future. It's never wise to underestimate the young.
